AI reads legacy code, modernization remains hard

IBM launched an AI coding assistant called Bob that reads legacy code, identifies deprecated APIs, and surfaces technical debt in minutes. The tool gives organizations visibility into decades-old systems, but understanding code does not equate to the difficult work of modernizing it.
