Citrix disclosed a major vulnerability in NetScaler gateways on September 27, 2026, allowing unauthenticated command execution. CISA and Mandiant issued alerts regarding the active exploitation of CVE-2026-88771 and CVE-2026-88772. Cloudflare subsequently released an emergency web application firewall rule on October 1 to help mitigate the risk before patches are fully rolled out.
