Amazon misses FCC satellite deadline, gets waiver

Amazon will miss the FCC's July 30 deadline to deploy half of its 3,236-satellite Leo constellation. The FCC granted a limited waiver but stripped priority spectrum status. Amazon had launched only 180 satellites as of January and estimated 700 by the deadline. The final deployment deadline remains July 30, 2029.
