A leaker known as KeplerL2 estimates Sony's PlayStation 6 manufacturing cost at $960 per unit, up from a prior $760 estimate. That bill of materials does not include shipping, storage, or R&D. Sony would need to sell the console at a loss to keep the retail price under $1,000.
