Used tyres could make EVs quieter

Researchers at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg developed a method to reduce noise from EV power electronics using granulate made from recycled car tyres. In lab tests, the approach lowered noise by 6.5 decibels in the critical frequency range and reduced component cover vibrations by up to 9.7 decibels.
