Steve Hanley installed a 51.2 volt Vatrer battery into his EZ Go TXT golf cart at Protek Autoworks in Somers, Connecticut. The new lithium-ion unit replaced six aging lead-acid batteries that required frequent water maintenance and suffered from corrosion after four years of service. This conversion eliminates the need for distilled water top-offs while extending operational life to 4000 cycles over a ten year design period.
