Anthropic is adding machine-readable watermarks to text generated by supported Claude models, applying worldwide across Claude Platform, API, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude Tag. Claude models launched in the EU on or after August 2, 2026 will support marking at launch, with files receiving C2PA signed provenance metadata.
