TechCrunch Mobility: Inside GM's $900M EV battery gamble

General Motors is investing $900 million in LMR battery chemistry and a new Battery Cell Development Center to cut EV costs. The Chevrolet Silverado EV could become $6,000 cheaper. GM is also using outside and in-house AI models to speed up vehicle development cycles, according to VP Kurt Kelty.
