Sector Snapshot: Semiconductor Startup Funding Still Running Hot

Investors have poured roughly $10.7 billion into semiconductor startups through pre-IPO rounds so far in 2026, putting funding on track to surpass last year. MatX, Ayar Labs, and Etched.ai each raised $500 million rounds. Cerebras went public but shares have fallen about a third from the initial closing price.
