Deutsche Bahn GSM-R outage halts all trains

A GSM-R network failure forced Deutsche Bahn to cancel all train services at 10:30 PM Tuesday. The 2G-based system, considered obsolete, connects drivers with signaling services. DB restored the network by 12:50 AM but warned of residual disruptions. DB has signed with Nokia for a 5G FRMCS replacement.
