Microsoft released an app that boots a full Linux desktop in a window using Azure Linux 4.0. The app runs XFCE with audio, GPU acceleration, and resizable display without setup. It leverages WSLc, a new Linux container runtime for Windows, and Microsoft's UI Reactor for the interface. The demo uses early builds of WSL and WinUI components. The app is a prototype, not a production-ready tool.
