Hackers use PR campaign to spread clipboard hijacker

Check Point Research uncovered a PR-style campaign distributing a Rust clipboard hijacker disguised as legitimate software. Attackers used phishing sites, GitHub and SourceForge projects, fake YouTube channels, and newswire press releases to boost credibility. The malware swaps crypto wallet addresses from the clipboard, targeting both Windows and macOS users.
