Z.ai Apologizes for ZCode Data Uploads

Z.ai apologized after researchers found its ZCode coding tool packaged and uploaded entire user workspaces, including full project histories, to Alibaba Cloud without disclosure. The decryption key stayed server-side, so users could not access or delete the files. Z.ai says uploaded data was never used for training, removed the Repo Wiki feature, and open sourced ZCode on GitHub.
