New South Wales announced fines up to $22,000 for undisclosed AI-altered rental images, taking effect in early 2027, but its own media release wrongly flagged a Leichhardt apartment as AI-doctored. The listing agency says the Bondi beach view is a real $5,000 courtyard mural, about 12km from the actual beach.
