Doctors Remove Sewing Needle From Man's Heart

Doctors in China removed a 36-millimeter sewing needle from the left ventricle of a 35-year-old intellectually disabled man. The needle had pierced the pericardium and was moving with the heart. The man presented with bloody urine, and CT scans revealed multiple metallic foreign bodies throughout his body, including his abdomen, pelvis, and bladder. The surgery was successful, and the man was discharged after recovery.
