GM Adds 50 Robots After Cutting 1,000 Jobs

GM added roughly 50 Fanuc-made collaborative robots at Factory Zero weeks after laying off over 1,000 workers at the same plant. UAW Local 22 president James Cotton said the cobots are taking jobs from members, who are "disgusted" by their presence. GM stated the robots improve safety, ergonomics, and operational flexibility.
