Zürich Airport Launches L4 Autonomous Shuttles

Zürich Airport has deployed two fully automated electric shuttle buses developed with WeRide. The vehicles are operating without a human safety monitor on board, making it one of the first European airports to test Level 4 autonomy in a live environment. The pilot program, in development since March 2025, will initially serve employees on a defined route without crossing active runways.
