VW Plans Second-Gen ID Buzz by 2030

Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer confirmed development of a second-generation ID Buzz electric van during the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The new model will ditch the current MEB architecture for the Scalable Systems Platform to lower costs and improve range. Launch is expected after 2030, potentially replacing the GTX performance version with a GTI-branded variant.
