Etched hits $5B valuation with $1B in AI chip orders

AI chip startup Etched reached a $5 billion valuation after closing a $500 million round in December. The company has booked $1 billion in contract orders for its full inference systems. Etched raised $800 million total from investors including Jane Street and Peter Thiel.
