TikTok explores peer-to-peer payments in DMs

TikTok is developing a peer-to-peer payment system for direct messages, according to code in its U.S. iOS app. The feature would work through TikTok Pay, currently available only in Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia and Vietnam. A TikTok spokesperson said the feature isn't being tested at present.
