South Korea excludes BYD from EV subsidy scheme

South Korea's Ministry of Environment tightened EV subsidy rules, requiring manufacturers to score at least 60 points. BYD was the only major battery-electric vehicle maker that failed to qualify. Ten passenger car makers including Hyundai, Tesla, and BMW qualified. BYD vehicles submitted after July 1 lose eligibility.
