Meta Backs MacroCycle's First Recycling Plant

MacroCycle signed a three-year deal with Meta to sell environmental attribute credits, funding its first commercial plant in the U.S. The Cambridge startup's solvent-based process cuts carbon emissions by 80% versus virgin PET. Meta, whose AI-driven footprint is growing, will count the reductions toward its own carbon goals. The plant will produce 5,000 metric tons annually.
