Deel buys Clarity for $50M to fight fake hires

Deel acquired Tel Aviv-based deepfake-detection startup Clarity for up to $50M, its 15th acquisition and first in Israel. Clarity's tech will run continuously across hiring and access management. Deel surpassed $1.5B annual recurring revenue and is valued over $17B. Gartner predicts one in four candidate profiles will be fraudulent by 2028.
