CATL and Octopus Energy to build UK truck battery swap network

CATL and UK's Octopus Energy formed a 50-50 joint venture to build a heavy-truck battery swap network in Europe. The first swap stations will open in the UK by 2027, expanding to over 30 stations by 2035. The network could serve over 300,000 electric trucks and generate more than £30 billion in private investment.
