Huawei engineers presented an experimental filesystem called XMFS at the Linux Plumbers Conference in Prague on October 5. IT Home reported the talk on October 8. The system targets Linux servers using CXL 3.0 or Huawei's unified bus to allow applications to reach shared memory on other nodes through ordinary POSIX file calls without rewriting software above them.
