StepFun released open weights for its Step 5 Preview model on October 15, offering 600B total parameters with 27B active per token. The 92-layer architecture supports a 1 million token context window and ranks second on OpenRouter usage charts. Weights are available under a custom StepFun Model License 1.0 on Hugging Face and ModelScope.
