The goonhost.rocks team implemented the IPv8 Internet-Draft across Linux Kernel 6.6, Musl Libc, iproute2, FRRouting, and a Go Zone Server. IPv8 expands IP headers to 28 bytes, hard-codes addresses to ASNs, and breaks hardware switches, causing throughput drops from 400Gbps to under 10Gbps.
