Texas A&M researchers publish a study in ACS Measurement Science Au describing a tiny injectable glucose sensor. The device uses a beta-mannopentaose molecule that is roughly 10 times cheaper than previous versions. Lab tests tracked glucose between 25 and 400 mg/dL, and the rod retained 94% of the molecule after seven days.
