GM Reinstates CarPlay and Android Auto in Trucks

General Motors is reintroducing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support in its 2027 Chevrolet Silverado and 2027 GMC Sierra trucks. The new software, based on Android Automotive, will run phone projection in a windowed mode alongside the native infotainment system. This reverses GM's 2023 decision to remove these features from many vehicles.
