Tokyo plans higher EV subsidies

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government plans to raise the maximum EV subsidy to ¥1.3 million, up ¥300,000. The basic subsidy doubles from ¥100,000 to ¥200,000. Manufacturer-related incentives could increase to ¥600,000, with ¥8.3 billion earmarked in a supplementary budget. Final details await approval later in June.
