OpenAI Rolls Out AI Watermarking in EU

OpenAI adds invisible TextGrain watermarks to ChatGPT and Codex text in the EU starting this August to comply with the EU AI Act. Detection rates drop below 20pc if 25pc of words are changed. Anthropic also pledged to watermark content launched after 2 August.
