Searchlight Cyber disclosed on October 8 that a GoBalance flaw lets attackers hijack.onion addresses by recovering Tor-format keys. The bug stems from GoBalance passing only the first 32 bytes of a 64-byte private key to a signer. Dread and Omega dark-web sites were taken over between October 5 and 8, forcing operators to migrate permanently.
