Deep Synoptic Array Rising in Nevada Desert

Caltech announced final design specs for the Deep Synoptic Array, a 1,650-dish radio telescope spanning 12 by 10 miles in the Nevada desert. The telescope will survey the cosmos 100-times faster than any known telescope. All data will be freely available in real time to the public.
