Pentagon Creates Autonomous Warfare Command

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the Autonomous Warfare Command at Marine Corps Base Quantico on Wednesday. A four-star officer will lead it, with powers to design and field drones and robots across all branches. It launches within a year, with Project Agincourt as an interim measure. The Pentagon also launched Project Meridian, a 120-day study co-led by Elon Musk, Palmer Luckey and Newt Gingrich.
