BYD Expands Into Rail Transport

BYD invests over $1 billion in its SkyRail electric monorail project, employing more than 1,000 engineers. While the system launched in Shenzhen and Sao Paulo, a planned rollout across 200 Chinese cities was scaled back due to local government debt concerns.
