BT Acquires TalkTalk Out of Administration

BT Group acquired TalkTalk's consumer and wholesale businesses out of administration on Monday, securing 2.5 million customers. The deal involves a debt-free purchase of TalkTalk Telecommunications Limited and PlatformX Communications Limited. BT estimates a total cash impact of about £400M in its 2027 financial year, covering transaction costs and a trading loss of about £60M.
