Arcturus cuts grid losses with nano-infused copper

Arcturus infuses carbon nanomaterials into copper and aluminum using lasers to reduce energy lost as heat. Replacing traditional copper could halve electrical grid losses, unlocking 3% more electricity on average and up to 10% during peak congestion. The startup raised $8 million in seed funding.
