Lin Junyang, technical lead of Alibaba's Qwen model team, resigned on March 3. The departure was communicated within the Qwen team. Lin led key development under Tongyi Lab, which reports to Alibaba Cloud CTO Zhou Jingren. The lab is undergoing internal organizational adjustments.
