Google to Remove Heads Up Walking Safety Feature

Google is preparing to deprecate Heads Up, the Digital Wellbeing feature that warned Android users to watch their surroundings while walking. Code strings in the latest Digital Wellbeing beta reveal an in-app alert saying walking detection will be removed soon. Launched in 2021, the opt-in tool used motion sensors and location data when the screen was unlocked.
