New research from MIT Sloan, Entelligence AI Research, and Gartner shows only 18 cents of every dollar spent on AI tokens reaches production. The remaining 82 cents goes to fixing AI-generated bugs, reviewing outputs, and correcting mistakes. Ford rehired about 350 veteran engineers after AI failed to match their judgment.
