Asia is shifting from an arms importer to a manufacturer and exporter, reversing decades of one-way sales from the U.S. and Western Europe. Japan loosened its arms export restrictions, and South Korea's Hanwha Aerospace began exporting land systems to Europe in 2022, with LIG Defense & Aerospace supplying missile interceptors.
