LG Energy Solution signs 10-year Arkansas lithium deal

LG Energy Solution signed a binding 10-year take-or-pay deal for 8,000 tonnes yearly of battery-grade lithium carbonate from Smackover Lithium in Arkansas, starting 2029. Smackover is a joint venture with Standard Lithium at 55% and Equinor at 45%. The agreement covers roughly 90% of targeted offtake with Trafigura.
