Deeptech company StandardX has raised £10 million in seed funding led by Vsquared Ventures and East X Ventures to build an accelerator-based isotope refinery. Founded in 2025 by nuclear engineers Richard Pearson and Ross Allen, it aims to produce rare medical isotopes for cancer treatment and tritium for fusion energy, with first supply to a medical partner planned for 2027.
