SpaceX unveiled plans for an 11-million-square-foot Gigasat factory in Bastrop, Texas, to produce AI1 satellites designed as orbiting data centers. Each AI1 satellite delivers ~150kW of compute power. The facility targets 1 GW/year of space AI compute by late 2027.
