Singapore Launches Government Dating Pilot

Singapore's GovTech launched FirstDate, a pilot dating service for public officers aged 21 to 35, with applications closing Oct. 5. It uses the Gale-Shapley algorithm to send one match per cycle, verified via Singpass. The pilot arrives as the country's fertility rate fell to 0.87 children per woman in 2025, down from 1.24 a decade earlier.
