The Lakshadweep administration withdrew Skyhop's seaplane permission at the last minute, citing no infrastructure for seaplanes. Skyhop had leased planes, hired crew and run trials. The reversal jeopardizes India's UDAN seaplane connectivity push, which has struggled since 2017. SpiceJet previously quit a similar Gujarat service.
