Fed Expected to Raise Rates Wednesday

The Federal Reserve is widely expected to raise interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday, pushing the federal funds rate to 3.75%-4%. CME's FedWatch tool puts the odds at 94.5%. A Wall Street Journal survey found nearly every major bank expects the hike, with most forecasting 50 basis points of total tightening in 2026.
