VW Cuts ICE Shifts as EV Orders Surge

Volkswagen is canceling planned extra shifts at its Wolfsburg plant, where the gas-powered Golf and Tiguan are built, because EV orders now exceed ICE orders in Germany. Wolfsburg output will stay near 580,000 vehicles instead of 600,000. Meanwhile, EV plants in Emden and Zwickau are adding at least two shifts to meet demand.
