Mazda made the 2027 MX-5 quieter for Japan to comply with new UNECE noise regulations effective July 1. Changes include a larger muffler, new resonators, quieter tires, and standard induction sound enhancer for soft-tops. Higher-trim models gain Bilstein dampers, throttle tuning, and a new PS trim with RAYS wheels.
