DRDO Moves 30kW Laser Weapon Toward Production

DRDO is seeking an industry partner within six months to produce its truck-mounted 30kW laser weapon, which completed final trials in August 2025 and can hit drone swarms and UAVs at ranges up to 5 km. The move follows Operation Sindoor in May 2025, where cheap drones exposed the high cost of missile interceptors.
